Beautiful pottery vessel in the form of a wide squash. The body is segmented with vertical ribbing. The surface has a gorgeous patina but has some chips that one could see as scam of time. Priced accordingly. Art imitates life in this piece as the indigenous of Mexico used hallowed gourds for storing and serving food. Squashes were symbols of fertility and abundance.
